My access panels completly ripped off from the Pro Comp cars (cheers for the idea guys). The panels are held down with dzus panel clips (Race Parts) and are a really neat and tidy way of getting inside the footwells.
Some more pictures of the access panels. Also as you can see I have made a start on the rest of the panelling; tunnel sides and passenger foot well end. I decided I like to see a nice tight even fold in the panels so I have invested in a box pan folder which is fantastic and will allow me to do a lot more without calling in too many favors.
More of the tunnel sides
Drivers footwell panel on, side panels on and dressed over the round tube either side using a plastic mallet, back panel in place but not folded.
Floor skin
I spent the day playing with my floor skin!!!, agian 18 gauge (1.2mm) NS4. as you can see I counter sunk the whole thing, I am going to fit it using sealed 4mm 120 degree countersunk rivets. I used a cage (LAS aero) to make sure I didn't go to far with the counter sink bit, I found using cutting fluid stopped the cutter chattering. Because the fireblade engine is a little tall for the car we (Pro Comp) had to lower it by 10mm to I had to cut a clearance hole in the floor, bit of a shame but im sure it won't make much difference to the performance.
